Chat Window

The following is an explanation on what each part of the Chat Window does (using the image to the right):

  • All (Red): this will send a message to every player within your range.
  • @Whisper (Pink): this will send a message to a specific player.
    • Usage: @NAME Message - @[GM]Xtrm2Matt Hello!
  • $Trade (Blue): this will send a message to the player you are trading to.
    • Usage: $Hello!
  • #Party (Light Blue): this will send a message to all party members.
    • Usage: #Hello!
  • &Clan (Green): this will send a message to all clan members.
    • Usage: &Hello!
  • ~Ally (Yellow): this will send a message to all allied members on PvP maps.
    • Usage: ~Hello!

Character (Alt+A)

Info

The Info box will show miscellaneous information about your in-game Character, such as your Character's Name, Job, Clan, Experience Points and Stamina.

Status

The Status box allows you to manage your characters Stat Points. A unique feature to AruaROSE is that you are able to decide yourself how you wish to build your character, so you can spend your points on any of the six stats.

The right side shows the stats which are calculated by your build.

Union

The Union box will show information relating to the Union you are currently apart of (if any). It will also show how many Union Points you have.

Skill (Alt+S)

The bottom of the Skill list shows your remaining, unspent Skill Points (yellow on the image to the left). You can use these to upgrade your current skills. The skill tree (pink on the image to the left) will show you which skills you will be able to upgrade to in the future.

Basic

Basic Skills are those which any class can have (red on the image to the left).

Examples:

  • Sit
  • Trade
  • Party
  • Pick Up

Active

Active Skills are those which are specific to your current Job (green on the image to the left).

Passive

Passive Skills are those which you must learn in order to begin learning certain skills in the skill tree (blue on the image to the left).

Inventory (Alt+I)

This window shows the items you are carrying with you and the equipment you are wearing. Highlighted with green is the upper part of the window and in red the lower part. The field highlighted with white shows you your current money (edited in the image). To drop money, press the Z icon in the left side of the field. The field highlighted with black shows the current weight of your items and your carrying capacity. If you are overweight, you cannot run, and if you still pick up more items, you cannot attack.

Upper part (Equipment/Tuning)

Here you can see either your currently equipped items or your currently equipped Cart or Castle Gear parts. To show/hide the upper part, click on the purple minus/arrow sign. Highlighted with blue and yellow respectively are the Equipment and Tuning tabs and with pink the show/hide button.

Equip

This tab shows the equipment currently in your inventory. To equip an item, either double-click on it or drag it to the upper part.

Consumable

This tab shows the items that are single-use. Most common ones are food, juices, potions and Charms. To use an item, double-click on it. For quicker usage, drag an item to the Quick Bar. (Press F9 to see it if it is not visible.)

Etc

This tab shows everything else in your inventory. Etc items include basic drops, materials and gems. These items cannot be used except in Artisan's crafting skills. They are usually sold either to other players in case of valuable drops or to NPC in case of non-valuable drops.

Mini-Map (Alt+M)

The AruaROSE client has a mini-map which shows various bits of information. The image to the right shows some important information:

  • Map Name (Red): this is the map you are currently on.
  • Position (Green) these are the co-ordinates your character is currently at.

The yellow "X"-like shapes are player indicators within your viewing distance.
The large green arrow is your characters position, and the arrow moves depending on the direction you are facing.
If you are in a party, the player indicator icon changes to blue.

You can also minimize, maximize or zoom into the mini map using the two buttons seen at the top-right of the mini map.

Options (Alt+O)

Visual settings (Camera icon)

Here you can change the video settings, like resolution, image quality and drawing distance. Highlighted with red.

Sound settings (Speaker icon)

Here you can change sound effect and background music volume. Highlighted with green.

Mouse settings (Mouse icon)

Here you can change your interface mode to either single-click or double-click. In single-click mode you target a monster and attack with one click, target a NPC and talk to it with one click and so on. In double-click mode you target a monster with one click and attack on the seconds, target a NPC with one click and talk to it on the second and so on. You can also change whether player and NPC names are visible or not. This tab is highlighted with blue in the image.

Communication settings (Letter icon)

Here you can allow or disallow different interactions with other players: Whispers, friend requests, trades, party requests and the in-game messenger. Highlighted with yellow.

Chat mode (Keyboard icon)

Here you can change between two modes: In the Enter Chat Mode you need to press Enter first, then type your message and press Enter again to speak or whisper in-game, in Normal Chat Mode you can simply type and then press Enter. This tab is highlighted with pink.
